Season Ends for Ybarra Saturday, November 12th , 2050 Antonio Ybarra had hoped for the best, but expected the worst. Today, he learned from the Rice University medical staff that he would miss the rest of the season. The Rice University reliever suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament in an earlier ballgame. He admitted to being discouraged, but said he plans to come back strong next year. This season Ybarra has chalked up a 3.38 ERA while ringing up no saves with no wins and 1 loss. He has made 44 relief appearances, pitching 37.1 innings, giving up 33 hits, and holding opponents to a .232 batting average. Ybarra has also recorded 34 strikeouts and allowed 15 walks. |
