Delanoval Goes on Rampage Against Fighting Illini Monday, November 21st , 2050 Juan Delanoval of the Cougars was unstoppable in today's 10-1 victory over the University of Illinois Fighting Illini at Illinois Field. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Washington State University center fielder after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will." Juan Delanoval doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Dan Leishman in the 9th. For the year Delanoval is batting .324 with 93 hits and 15 home runs. He has scored 58 times and driven in 53. |
