Hits Galore: Hinojosa Drills 5 Hits Monday, December 5th , 2050 Today at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, the University of Illinois Fighting Illini topped the Pennsylvania State University Nittany Lions in spite of a standout batting performance by left fielder Rob Hinojosa. Hinojosa had a very impressive day at the plate, spanking University of Illinois pitching for 5 base hits, but couldn't do enough for a win. University of Illinois whipped Pennsylvania State University by the score of 9-8. Rob Hinojosa hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Eric James in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. In 68 games this season Hinojosa has batted at a .286 pace with 74 hits and 19 home runs. |
