DIV II Star of the Week Named Monday, December 19th , 2050 19-year-old Santiago Carrillo sent shock waves through Evolution last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Division 2 Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Carrillo made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .481 average, 13 hits in 27 at-bats, 3 home runs and 9 runs batted in. Where the Clemson University Tigers first baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Carrillo certainly made his mark last week. Carrillo is batting .310 this year with 16 home runs, 55 RBIs and 50 runs scored. He has 116 hits in 374 at-bats. |
