The UCLA Bruins reliever learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 12/25/2050 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as bone chips in his elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 8 months. The team will likely place Gomez on the injured list today. This season Gomez has been credited with 2 saves.
