Michaud Stretches Hit String to 20 Friday, December 30th , 2050 Philippe Michaud has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The University of Toronto shortstop picked up 2 more today against the Fresno State University Bulldogs and now has a 20-game hitting streak. The Marlies won the game 12-10. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Philippe Michaud struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Michaud currently has a .296 batting average with 128 hits, 9 homers, 49 RBIs, 60 runs scored and a .352 OBP. |
