Maxwell and Velasquez Suspended 9 Games for Brawl Friday, July 29th , 2050 Baseball officials have notified the ThunderHeads and Oaks organizations that one of their players has been suspended for "inappropriate and aggressive behavior" in yesterday's Amarillo-Oakland contest at Ballpark of Amarillo. Josh Maxwell of the ThunderHeads and Danny Velasquez of the Oaks will have to sit out 9 games for their roles in the free-for-all brawl. Maxwell on the season is batting .226 with 4 home runs. His totals include 17 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has played in 61 games. Thus far this season, Velasquez has tossed 45 innings in 1 starts, fanned 52 batters, walked 17 and put up a 4.80 ERA with 2 wins and 2 losses. |
