It's a No-No for Sax Friday, September 30th , 2050 In a brilliant performance at Field of the Devils, New Jersey pitcher Matthew Sax entered an elite group by tossing a no-hitter today against the Winnipeg Goldeyes. In the effort, he fanned 6 and walked 2, leading the Devils to a 3-0 victory. "I was getting my off-speed stuff over so they couldn't sit on the fastball," Sax said in the clubhouse after the game. "My guys made some nice plays behind me and cut off several hits, too." This season in 18 starts Matthew Sax has a record of 10-5 with 143 strikeouts in 128.2 innings and a 2.38 ERA. |
