Ayon on Fire, 5-for-5 Against Dominican Republic Wednesday, February 9th , 2050 Ricky Ayon got the glory and the headlines today, but the Dominican Republic left with the win. The Costa Rica left fielder easily handled the Dominican Republic pitching, going 5-for-5, but his Costa Rica came out on the short end of the 15-5 score. Ayon told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win. "Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end."
