Boone 5-for-6 for Pirates
It was high-fives all around for Randy Boone at Devault Memorial Stadium today.

He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Washington (APP) Nationals. Boone smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 23-22 win.

"Randy was hitting everything," said Pirates manager . "It really was a special game for him."

In the opposing dugout, Nationals manager Andy Vazquez told BNN beat writers that Boone "ambushed" the club.

"Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Boone oversleeps next time."

Randy Boone singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.

Boone is hitting .249 so far this season with 40 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He has 54 hits including 1 home run, 33 walks and .353 OBP.
