Coleman Smacks 5 Hits for Marlins
A jubilant Erik Coleman joined the postgame press conference at Academia de Prospecto Complex today to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Washington (APP) Nationals pitching staff he had just vanquished.

"It may not have looked like it," said the Miami (APP) Marlins left fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-5 hitting performance, which led the Marlins to a 19-14 win.

"He made it look easy," said Andy Vazquez, manager of the Nationals. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Erik Coleman singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, tripled in the 7th and walked in the 8th.

In the 2045 season Coleman is hitting .364 with 6 home runs.
