Hashimoto Raps Burlington for 5 Hits
The Texas (APP) Rangers stopped the Burlington Royals by a score of 21-0 at Burlington Athletic Stadium today, with the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Tomoya Hashimoto. The 24-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Hashimoto said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Hashimoto did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Royals.

"Not much that I can say," offered Burlington manager Henry Villar. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Tomoya Hashimoto flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Tim Tucker in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, walked in the 9th and singled in the 9th.

Hashimoto is batting at a .383 pace this season, picking up 23 hits in 60 at-bats with 4 home runs, 22 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
