Young Keeps Hit Streak Alive
Tuesday, October 10th , 2045
Dale Young, second baseman for the Miami (APP) Marlins, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 2 hits in his club's 24-10 victory today over the Johnson City Cardinals at Academia de Prospecto Complex today.
"I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Dale Young walked in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Daniel Boulter in the 2nd, walked in a run in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Alex Melgoza in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th.
Currently Young is batting .407 with 59 home runs and 195 RBIs.
