Athletics Garard Strikes out 18 Tuesday, October 10th , 2045 Aaron Garard of the Oakland (APP) Athletics put on a pitching clinic today at Burlington Athletic Stadium as he struck out 18 Burlington Royals in a 9-0 victory. Garard, who leads the AL with a 1 complete games, was simply magnificent as he held the Royals to 1 hit. He walked 1. "I felt okay at the beginning," Garard said, "but eventually my slider really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game." When asked about Garard's performance, Athletics manager Michael Durant shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating." On the year Garard has worked 64.2 innings with 92 strikeouts en route to a 7-2 record and 3.76 ERA. |
