Alvarado Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Thursday, October 12th , 2045 Gilberto Alvarado had an answer for everything the Ogden Raptors threw at him today at Lindquist Field. The Chicago (APP) right fielder went 5-for-7 in the game to put his name in the record book and put the Cubs on top, 29-3. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Alvarado said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Gilberto Alvarado singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 9th and hit a two-run double in the 9th. This season Alvarado is hitting .372 with 1 home run. |
