Giants End Peters's Streak Friday, October 13th , 2045 The Missoula Osprey lost to the San Francisco (APP) Giants 17-10 today at Rawling Foundation Complex, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Blaine Peters's 25-game hitting streak. The left fielder went 0-for-2 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Peters, we would win the game," Giants manager Leury Bonilla explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." To date this year Peters is batting .444 with 6 home runs. |
