In a powerful performance that left the fans at Kindrick Legion Field buzzing, Helena Brewers third baseman Ramon Perez blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 29-3 win over the Philadelphia (APP) Phillies.
"Everything was clicking," Perez told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them."
Perez shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 8 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
"It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Brewers manager Andy Webster said. "Ramon played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game."
Ramon Perez hit a solo-shot off Lance Brisson in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Josh Howell in the 2nd, walked in a run in the 2nd, walked in a run in the 3rd, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Shirou Yoshida in the 7th.
This season Perez is swinging the bat at a .291 pace. He has hit 75 home runs and scored 195 times, while driving in 209. His on-base percentage is .479 and he has played in 128 games.
