DiCicco 5-for-6 for Athletics Tuesday, October 17th , 2045 It was high-fives all around for Zack DiCicco at Juan Marichal Complex today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Orem Owlz. DiCicco smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 29-1 win. "Zack was hitting everything," said Athletics manager Michael Durant. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Owlz manager Jose Valenzuela told BNN beat writers that DiCicco "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, DiCicco oversleeps next time." Zack DiCicco hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Winikeneke Keikemamake in the 6th and walked in the 8th. This season DiCicco is swinging the bat at a .357 rate with 114 hits in 319 at-bats. To date he has hit 43 home runs, scored 127 runs and driven in 108. |
