Brewers 3B Forbess Gets the Cycle Thursday, October 19th , 2045 Drew Forbess hit for the cycle and paced the Helena Brewers to a 29-4 victory over the Washington (APP) Nationals at Las Américas Complex today. The Brewers third baseman led the way for his club with 5 hits in 7 at-bats -- 2 singles, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run -- along with 6 RBI and 4 runs. "Now that I know what Drew is capable of, I'm going to expect it more often," Helena manager Andy Webster joked with reporters after the game. Drew Forbess doubled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Curtis DeLille in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, tripled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. Forbess has collected 21 hits for the Brewers this year, 7 of them home runs. He has also netted 22 RBIs and scored 26 runs while batting .429. |
