Martin 5-for-6 for Bluefield Thursday, October 19th , 2045 Bluefield Blue Jays first baseman Chris Martin went 5-for-6 today and paced Bluefield to a 36-1 victory over the Orem Owlz at Bowen Field. "Well, that was fun," Martin said following the game. Chris Martin hit a three-run home run off Matthew Bale in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, walked in a run in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Mutsuo IIda in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. This year Martin has socked 194 hits in 529 at-bats for a .367 average with 41 home runs. He is getting on base at a .514 pace and his totals also include 189 RBIs and 214 runs scored. |
