Forbess Cracks 5 Hits Thursday, October 19th , 2045 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Drew Forbess of the Helena Brewers had one of those moments when he went 5-for-7 at the plate today in the 29-4 win over the Washington (APP) Nationals at Las Américas Complex. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 21-year-old third baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Drew Forbess doubled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Curtis DeLille in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, tripled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. Currently Forbess is batting .429 with 7 home runs, 22 RBIs and 26 runs scored. |
