Wiggs Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Sunday, October 22nd , 2045 The number just keeps getting higher. Oakland (APP) second baseman Scott Wiggs has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 1 hit in 2 at-bats as the Oakland (APP) took the 11-3 win over the Cleveland (APP) Indians at Juan Marichal Complex. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Cleveland (APP) manager Joey Duff said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Scott Wiggs hit a sac fly in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, walked in the 6th and grounded out in the 7th. Thus far this year Wiggs has hit .390 with 80 home runs and 190 RBIs. |
