Blue Jays Dominate, Sweep Wildcards Series Tuesday, October 31st , 2045 The Bluefield Blue Jays proved to be too much to handle for the Detroit (APP) Tigers in the Wildcards Series, and a sweep was the end result. Bluefield punched its ticket to the Division Series on the strength of a 5-1 win in the deciding game, which wrapped up the series 4-0. Bluefield first baseman Chris Martin, named series MVP, was instrumental in the sweep, as he mashed Detroit (APP) pitching to the tune of a .571 average, with a .647 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Division Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wildcards Series finishes. |
