Wildcards Series Goes the Distance, Oakland (APP) Prevails Saturday, November 4th , 2045 The Oakland (APP) Athletics were paced by a strong offensive output from Tom Raupp as they downed the Texas (APP) Rangers 4-3 to win the Wildcards Series. Oakland (APP) won the final game by a score of 9-3 at Juan Marichal Complex to send themselves off to the Division Series . "I wasn't so much focused on putting up big offensive numbers as I was about ensuring we won the games. So it's mission accomplished there," said first baseman Raupp, who was named MVP. For the series, the MVP hit .370 with a .469 on-base percentage. He had 7 home runs, drove in 14 RBI and scored 13 runs. The Division Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wildcards Series finishes. |
