Great Falls Takes Wildcards Series in Deciding Game Saturday, November 4th , 2045 The Wildcards Series went the distance before it all was said and done. The Great Falls Voyagers and the Seattle (APP) Mariners went at it tooth-and-nail and when it was over at Centene Stadium, the winner was the Voyagers. They put away Seattle (APP) 5-4 to cinch the series and won the right to move onto the Division Series . For his fine play, even in a losing effort, Seattle (APP) first baseman Taki Matsui was given the series Most Valuable Player Award. He hit .345, scored 8 runs and batted in 15 to win the honor. "It's nice that someone noticed my numbers, but I'd trade it in a heartbeat for a win," he said. The Division Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wildcards Series finishes. |
