Hays Goes 5-for-6
Sunday, September 4th , 2050
It was a parade of hits for Bailey Hays of the Pulaski Yankees at Red Sox Complex today.
Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Hays finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Yankees to a 11-0 victory.
"Hays was really good and we were really bad," groaned Red Sox manager Drew Vettleson. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."
Bailey Hays struck out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Nate Rollyson in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Luis Rojas in the 9th.
So far this season, Hays has recorded a .361 batting average with 82 hits, 15 home runs, 54 RBIs, 57 runs scored and a .430 OBP.
